ASL-Based Basketball Development Camp

Palmer Youth Deaf Basketball Camp is thrilled to announce our 3rd annual ASL-based camp in Rochester, NY. Click here for our 2019 flyer. Our basketball camp is aimed at teaching kids about the game of basketball. Including the rules and regulations as well as tips and techniques to play the game more competitively and effectively. Our nurturing environment provides a non-discriminating atmosphere where kids can feel confident and indulge in the game of basketball. Not only will your child learn about the game of basketball, they will also meet new friends, stay active, and improve their skills in three major areas: Shooting, Defense and Gameplay.

Areas of Focus

Elevate your game through coaching, repetition, and adjustments with hand-placement, alignment, and perfecting the release point.

Learn the fundamentals of defense through strategy, tips, and gameplay schemes such as man-to-man, zone, and help defense .

Improve your basketball awareness, understanding and IQ, in both the classroom and during on-court gameplay.

3 Days: June 21-23, 2019

Our camp will run a different format in 2019. We've shifted to groupings of ages 5-7, 8-11 and 12-14. Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and CODA are welcome.

This year's reduced fee still includes the awesome Group Photo, Awards, Tshirt and Player Evaluations that everyone loved last year!
